SUMMER VACATION

On the 15th of May 2014 the holidays started and the boys went home. They will return on the 5th of June.  Of course Kishor Nagar is never closed. At present there are around 130 boys on the campus. Many of the senior (college level) boys and they are actively engaged in repair and maintenance works.  The higher classes get only two weeks holidays as they take turns to look after the day-to-day running of the institution.

Among 130 boys there are several boys, both small and big, who remain here as they are orphans and have no place to go. Sometimes relatives may come and take them to the village for a few days and bring them back.

The seniors took up the job of repairing the pigeon house. It needed urgent repair as it was about to collapse. Pigeons are symbols of peace and they enjoy the peace and quiet of our campus, even when all the boys are present.

Boys enjoy the games –cricket, hockey, volleyball- and the small kids like to play carom. The recent rains have brought some relief as the temperature has come down.

With a lot of delay the contractor has at last finished the painting of the school office and staff room building. Fr. Walter is happy to shift back to his office after staying a few months in a guest room.
