With the late and unusual heavy rains in October some of the work in the fields was delayed. But every time the weather allowed for it the boys were out there.
The fields needed weeding and grass needed to be cut for the cows. For the second year in a row groundnuts or peanuts were planted and these were ready for harvesting.
Some flowers used in cooking were also ready to be plucked while other plants were still growing. A field of rapeseed was planted to be sold for making oil.
The first year of using high breed seeds resulted in beautiful rice paddies. The plants withstood the rains very well and it looks like we will have a good crop.
