The Headmasters of the Jesuit Schools have planned the Jesuit Schools Hockey tournament, to be held in St. Mary’s School Samtoli.
Kishor Nagar scores it’s first goal.
Only two schools from each zone can take part in the tournament. The Organising Committee of the Ranchi zone selected Kishor Nagar as the place for the zonal tournament. Only four schools sent a team : Prabhat Tara (Dhurwa), RCM Middle School (Saparom), St John’s School (Ranchi) and our own team from Kishor Nagar (Namkum).
St. Johns, Ranchi. For the first time a team of Kishor Nagar participated in a hockey tournament. As we had one week holiday for the DP vacation, several boys, who take part in hockey matches when at home, brought their own hockey sticks. In two weeks time Fr Walter managed to get a team ready. Our boys did well and qualified for the zonal selection. We are grateful to the organizing committee, under the dynamic leadership of Fr. Vijay Paul, for choosing Kishor Nagar as the venue for the zonal selection. It was a good opportunity for our boys to watch the matches.
