The 9th class boys have been practicing a new game called netball for one year under the guidance of Pramod, the coach of the Netball Association.

This game is played with clearly defined rules: there are 7 players in each team and each player is assigned a fixed position and role. In this way the game promotes discipline and team spirit. The coach is very happy with the enthusiasm and performance of our boys. He has also taught them a series of fitness exercises and our boys practice them every day after breakfast. 8 of our boys have been selected for a tournament at the National level. Two sets of new jerseys were bought for this team.
As the new hockey team (see previous post) started practicing it quickly became a popular game played by one and all with any stick and ball or rock that is available.

Football is also a favorite and a lot of the time is played with small plastic balls or with own-made balls from cloth and string.
The boys make their own balls from pieces of cloth and string.
Cricket is not yet played a lot but spinning tops can be seen all over.
