Lighting the Torch
The 1st of February 2014 was the Annual Sports Day. In fact it was the final day of about 5 days of Athletic Competitions. All the jumping and throwing events were completed before and only the finals for the running events were conducted on the final day.
The Sport Day has become a major event in the life of Kishor Nagar. The boys are divided into 4 groups, called Houses. Each group has 165 students, representing all classes. Competitions are held for 4 categories: seniors, juniors, kids and tots. For the seniors and the juniors there were 12 events (running, jumping and throwing), while the kids had 8 events and the tots had 6 items.
TUG OF WAR
Before noon the finals of the main running events were completed for seniors, juniors and kids. Events such jalebi race, frog race, chicken race were held for the tots.
In the afternoon the relay race 4 X 400m and 1500m race were held. Then there were special items for the Staff and handicapped students as well.
On the Victory stand
The Chief Guest, Shri Aslok Kr. Gupta, the Principal of Shri Govind School Hatia, congratulated the students for their performance and discipline. Subhash House captured the running trophy.
